“It takes a village to raise a child, but sometimes, you have to build that village yourself.”

Jasmine - Founder of Millennial Mummies

My Story

Hey mama, I’m Jasmine – founder of Millennial Mummies and mama of two! When I became a mum for the first time, I was over the moon but completely unprepared for the emotional rollercoaster that followed. I went through my first pregnancy mostly alone, with very little support and zero idea how tough the postpartum journey would be. I had dreamed of a peaceful water birth but ended up in an emergency C-section – a moment that changed everything for me. My second birth was a planned C-section due to the short time between pregnancies, and while I was better prepared, I still longed for the connection, support, and safe space I never had.

That’s why I created Millennial Mummies – a village for modern mamas who are navigating motherhood, mental health, and milestones all at once. This isn’t just a community – it’s a lifeline. Whether you’re a first-time mama or adding another cub to your tribe, you deserve support, love, and guidance every step of the way.

Our Mission

At Millennial Mummies, we’re on a mission to build a support system for modern Zambian mums. Our goal is to create safe spaces, share real stories, and provide accessible advice and resources for mothers who often feel like they’re doing it all alone. We’re here to normalize the struggles, celebrate the wins, and remind every mama that she is not alone.

Success Stories

When Rachel joined Millennial Mummies, she was a new mum to a 6-week-old baby, feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and unsure where to turn. Through the group, she found not just practical tips on breastfeeding and sleep routines but also genuine sisterhood. After attending our very first mama meet-up, Rachel shared that it was the first time she’d left the house feeling like herself again. Now, she’s one of our most active members – always the first to check in on new mamas and share helpful advice. Rachel says, “Millennial Mummies reminded me I’m more than just a mum – I’m a woman with power, purpose, and people behind me.”
